    VMSS team removed the sheds and clear the ground

    VMSS team swung into action after the displaced residents of Sanjay Nagar started living at their original places after failed to get any houses. The encroachment team removed the sheds from the spot and clear the ground. At one time there was altercation between the residents and team but strict police bandobast was kept there to avoid any untoward incident.

    VMSS demolished the Sanjay Nagar slums in view of the Slum free campaign and assigned the work to the contractor to built housing scheme there under PPP model. However he failed to start the work in alloted time. If that’s not all the displaced resident are also not getting the money decided by the administration to give till the houses get ready.

    In such a situation and with no options left the residents after repeated representations to the corporation start living there. Around eight families start living there inside the makeshift shed at the site. After getting the information the VMSS team on Saturday demolished the structures and open the space.
