Dilapidated four-storey building in Dabhoi collapsed due to heavy rains

No casualties reported two motorcycles were crushed under the debris

A dilapidated four-storey building in Dabhoi collapsed due to heavy rains during the last 24 hours. No casualties were reported in the incident, but two motorcycles parked near the building were crushed under the debris.  Panic spread among the people following the collapse of the building.

A part of closed four-storey building near Dabhoi’s Bharat Talkies collapsed and spread panic among the people. The house is situated in the crowded area and people rushed to the spot after the incident.

Fortunately no casualties were reported in the incident and two motorcycles parked there were damaged under the debris.

A notice was also issued to the landlord by Dabhoi Municipality to make the years old dilapidated house in Dabhoi safe. But, the landlord did not take the municipality’s notice seriously and a part of the building collapsed. 

Notably, Dabhoi town has many such properties that are years old. Notice were issued to the property owners to make them fearless, but they have not taken them seriously.
