Dhabas to start operating on highways with stipulated minimum distance

Shops for truck repairs and and dhabas on highways will be allowed to operate with certain guidelines decided by the government. They have to operate with a stipulated minimum distance as prescribed by the State and UT authorities.

With the implementation of lockdown in India, all vehicular movements are suspended to contain the deadly virus. Now after the 21 days lockdown period the government released guidelines with some relaxation to operate till the extended period upto 3rd May 2020. Roadside dhabas are also allowed to operate which gives some relief to the people specially the truck drivers in such difficult times.

The guidelines allows movement of all trucks and other goods/ carrier vehicles with two drivers and one helper carrying a valid driving license driving to ply after the delivery of goods, or for pick up of goods. Shops for truck repairs and dhabas on highways, with a stipulated minimum distance as prescribed by the State, UT authorities will be allowed.
