Department of Vocal Music MSU organised performance of Jyoti Swaroop Pande

Sang very rare compositions of Dhamar, Thumri, Sufiyana songs and Tappa.

Department of Vocal music Faculty of Performing Arts MSU Barods organised a performance of Jyoti Swaroop Pande (retired foreign services IFS) in presence of music connoissuers and students. A reasonably good singer he mesmerised the audience with his singing and high knowledge in music.

He sang very rare compositions of Dhamar, Thumri, Sufiyana songs and Tappa. All songs were related to Holi in brij bhasha. The history, poetic content and detailed information of old compositions and composers.

The concert was of chamber music type for selected audience. It was highly appreciated by audience.
