Met Mayor Commissioner to discuss the purpose of the project

A delegation from Israel head by Riki Shai Councillor and President of Indo Israel friendship association visited Vadodara to meet the top officials about the twin cities project. The aim of the project is to bring the two cities closer which strengthen their friendship further.

Riki Shai Municipal Councillor Ashkelon visit the city in view of the prestigious Vadodara & Ashkelon in Israel Twin City Project. During the visit she met and interacted with Municipal Commissioner Nalin Upadhyay and Mayor Dr. Jigisha Sheth discussing about the project and the purpose.

"I personally thanked the Mayor and Commissioner of Vadodara for the meeting on a very short notice. The twin cities project will further strengthen the friendship between the two cities and also give chance to the citizens to interact. We are here for the three purpose of medical centre, education and managment of water as well as cultural interaction. The project will increase the co operation between the two cities as well as both the countries. People will interact sharing knowledge and culture in the best possible way to built close relations between both the countries. My parents are coming from here so for me it's important to bring Indian culture to Israel," said Shai.

Shai also visited the Statue of Unity and felt like a Indian there. She praised the project and feel it's a good example to spread the tradition, activities, culture, people, history of India to the world.

Nikitin Contractor President of Friends of Israel was also present during the media interaction and said the twin cities project would bring the two cities becoming strong friends and thus strengthening Indo Israel friendship.
