Starts the
community kitchen to prepare food and distribute it to the needy ones
Following the vision of its mission to empower the less
priviledged, Deepak Foundation team has been distributing food to stranded
migrant workers, truck drivers and labourers on the highway area in Halol.
Furthermore they also starts the community kitchen to prepare food and
distribute it to the needy ones.
To stop the chain of Coronavirus the whole Vadodara city is under lockdown and spending their time with family at their home. The lockdown also affected the work and movement on roads as companies factories are closed and states sealed their borders as a preventive step.
However the
lockdown left many stranded at one place and feel the shortage of food and
other things. Deepak foundation like other NGOs comes to the rescue of such
people and distributing food to stranded migrant workers, truck drivers and
labourers on the highway area in Halol.
Following the
same lines, Deepak Foundation is running
community kitchen within its head office premises in Waghodiya. “We
believes in serving the stranded people at this hour is utmost important. The
food prepared is distributed through Vadodara Municipal Corporation team as per
the Ward protocol for distribution of team,” said Director Archana Joshi.
As the
Foundation has their own team of nutrition experts, the menu is decided keeping
in mind the longer shelf life of the food.
