Cycle expedition to spread the message of clean India

To spread the message of ‘Swachh Bharat ‘ a group of 22 professional cyclists from different states start on from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to aware the people about cleanliness a healthy life. The cycling expedition starts from Kashmir on 7th November and reached Kanyakumari on 9th December.

The group of cyclists will reach Vadodara on 20th November where they will be recieved by the Rotary Club Vadodara Mahanagar. On next day after the night stay in Vadodara the local cyclists will join the expedition team in a rally which will move from different parts of the city. Later the cyclists were give a thumsup by the people of Vadodara for their onward journey towards Kanyakumari.

“Indian government Urban department and Rotary Clubber District 3070 is organising the cycle expedition to spread the message of clean India. About 22 cyclists including one female start the expedition and cover 20 states and 30 cities in between covering total 4800 kms to Kanyakumari. The team consists of professional cyclists, retired IPS officers, retired Army officers and others. We in Vadodara are ready to welcome the group,” said Anil Jain President of Rotary Club Vadodara Mahanagar.

It is a non competitive cycling event from Kashmir to Kanyakumari starting on 6th Nov and concluding on 9th Dec and is being organised in association with Ministry of Urban Development and Municipal Corporation with a mission of Swachh Bharat.
