Rajasthan HC wants cow as National Animal

The Rajasthan high court on Wednesday asked the government to declare cow as the national animal and ensure life sentence for those who kill the bovine.

The Rajasthan High Court has said these things during a hearing on a public interest petition. Petitions were filed regarding the safety of the cow. On which the hearing was going on in the court. The judge also said that the protection of cows is the responsibility of the state government.

The High Court has advised that the cow will be declared as National animal and punishment for who attemp murder of cow will life sentence. During the hearing on the Hingonias Gaushala, Rajasthan High Court made this comment.

The court also directed the state forest department to plant 5,000 plants in and around the cowshed every year.
