The Union Government said that the total number of recoveries from COVID-19 in the country has reached over 23,38,000.
COVID-19 recovery rate in the country has improved to 75.27 per cent. In all, 57,469 people have been cured of coronavirus during the last 24 hours.
The Health Ministry said, the recoveries of COVID-19 patients in the country are more than three times the active cases.
A single-day spike of 61,408 cases took India’s Coronavirus caseload to 31,06,348. The death toll climbed to 57,542 with 836 fatalities being reported in a span of 24 hours.
There are 7,10,771 active cases of Coronavirus infection in the country which comprises 22.88 per cent of the total caseload.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, more than six lakh tests have been conducted during the last 24 hours. The total number of samples tested for Coronavirus Infection so far has reached over 3 crore 59 lakhs.
