Separate rooms assigned for both the students

Amid strict implementation of the Covid 19 guidelines, GUJCAT exams has conducted in assigned centres in Vadodara. One Coronavirus infected and another cancer suffering student are also appearing in the exam.

Separate rooms have been arranged by the District Education Officer’s Office for these two students who are appearing for examinations in two different schools in Vadodara.

District Education Officer U.N. Rathore said that as per the guidelines of Covid-19, examinations are being conducted at 38 centers where 7600 GUJCAT students appeared in Vadodara.

Among the students, a Corona infected home quarantined student appeared in the exam at the Basil School in Tandalja. While the cancer-stricken student gives the exam at Navrachana Vidyani School in Sama area. Separate rooms have been arranged for these two students as per the government guideline.

He further said that the home quarantined student had called the Gujarat Board of Secondary Education on Sunday afternoon and sought permission to appear for the exam.

They then got a call from the board and his medical prescriptions were sent. After the verification, they arranged a separate room for the student. Similarly, a letter was given by the treating doctor to arrange a separate seat for the student suffering from cancer.

In which the doctor said that to keep a student with cancer in the middle of all is a risk factor to arrange a separate room. So a separate room was arranged for the student also.

D.E.O. U.N. Rathod further said that all the students who came for the exam were checked with a temperature gun. If any student’s temperature was found to be high, a separate arrangement was planned. However, no third student was identified except two students.

GUJCAT has a one day exam which consists of 3 papers. There is only one paper on Physics-Chemistry from 10 to 12 in the morning. Options include Biology and Maths papers.

Biology paper is from 1 to 2 in the afternoon and Maths paper is from 3 to 4 in the afternoon. All sorts of arrangements have been made by the District Education Officer’s Office so that the students can take the exam in a peaceful atmosphere.
