“Such a disaster training programme for coolies and vendors are organised for the first time where they were taught to act in the time of disasters. They were taught how to give first aids in the hour of need till the medical help arrives. Incidents like fire, accidents, medical emergencies are there at the railway station and coolies are the first to attend them so we train them to give first aid in the emergencies. Practical demos were given to them on CPR. Also they were educated on hand washing technique recommended by WHO as part of the ongoing Swachtha Mission of the railways,” said Suzanne Cristian founder member Faith foundation.

MSW and MHRM Volunteer students from MS University, SP University and Parul University also joined the training program. The training programme will continue on Tuesday.
