Conman arrested for extract money from people inside SSG
The SSG hospital on duty security caught a conman from the hospital premises who extract money from the people pretending to be a policeman.
The conman from Warasiya threatening the people inside the hospital asking for their ID cards and purpose of visit and extract money from them acting as policeman. The security caught him and handover him to the Raopura police station.
As per the details Baldev Makwana of Pipli village in Padra Taluka said that his mother was admitted in the ward 7-8 in the SSG hospital and on 11th April he went out to collect his mother’s blood report around 8 in the night. He further added that the conman approached him near the nursing home and asked for his ID and the purpose of visit an dput his hand on his shoulder.
Baldev further said that he started to get unconscious after the conman placed his hand on his shoulder. He said the conman then take out 6000 rupees kept inside his pocket and the same he realised after regain his consciousness. He then informed the on duty security jawan Ankur Barot about the incident.
Another victim Devabhai Bhil from Jari village in Narmada district said that his family member is taking treatment in the hospital and on the 10th April night he was sitting near the ward 17 and smoke beedi. At that time the conman approached him and asked why he was smoking beedi inside the hospital. He then asked him to pay fine in the police and asked for money. Devabhai in fear handover 4500 rupees to him and he also informed the hospital security about the incident.
Ankur Barot the security jawan said that the conman used to tell their new recruits that he is from the Raopura police staff. The new jawan informed him about the same and he then tried to find out the real thing as he also received complain from the relatives of the patients earlier. During investigation he caught the conman and during interrogation he revealed his name as Deepak Lalwani from Warasiya area.
The hospital security handover the conman to the Raopura police and they are further investigating after register the offence against him. Raopura police said that the conman earlier was arrested in the cycle theft and now involved in extracting money from the people inside the hospital. They said that after interrogation they will be able to know the exact number of people fell prey to him.
