Coast Guard Commander, Western Seaboard visited Headquarters Coast Guard Region

(North West) at Gandhinagar.  ADG on his maiden visit reviewed ceremonial

guard and was later briefed on various Operations, missions and infra

activities undertaken by HQ (North West). 

ADG also overviewed operations readiness status and

key role played by the region since its inception towards maritime security of

the state.

He was apprised about region on forefront of

various missions involving saving of 145 lives, 04 medical evacuations, 317 kgs

of drug recovered in two anti drug trafficking operations, joint exercises

conducted with maritime stake holders and assistance provided to the state

administration during natural calamities. He pondered upon synergy with the

stakeholders in making Coastal Security Mechanism robust instilling confidence

amongst seafarers.

During interaction he expressed satisfaction on the

operational preparedness and infrastructure progress of the region and appealed

all officers and men to sustain the ops tempo to keep our seas safe and secure.
