On the occasion of Gujarat Gaurav Divas Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today begun Shravantirth Darshan Yojana. He said that this is the special service scheme for elder persons (senior citizens) of the state to make them visit to the pilgrimages and to worship god.
CM Rupani begun this scheme from God Jagannath Temple of Ahmedabad and said that this government is standing with elders through this scheme to make them worship to god.
With briefing about the scheme, CM Rupani said that state government has provisioned worth Rs. 4 crore for this scheme. Elder persons of the state will travel to various small and large pilgrimages of the state by S.T. and other buses and could get 50% of travel rental relief. It is our commitment to give elder persons an atmosphere to make easy travel to holy pilgrimages without any hinderances and pass their retirement lives to worship god with peace.
He also briefed about 24×7 cleanliness scheme of pilgrimages worth Rs. 40 crore. He appealed people to support in cleanliness at pilgrimages, to bow elders and support in the mantra of collective efforts, inclusive growth for development of Gujarat.
Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel said that this scheme has been launched for elder persons of the state to make them visit to pilgrimages of Gujarat such as we have extended waters of Narmada in each village of the state. Gujarat is the first state across the nation in which such scheme has began, he added. He appealed elder persons to take benefit of the scheme.
On the occasion State Cabinet Ministers Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Dilipbhai Thakor, Pradipsinh Jadeja, Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Rajendra Trivedi, Vallabhbhai Kakadiya, Nirmalaben Vadhwani, Ahmedabad Mayor Gautambhai Shah along with local leaders, office-bearers and people in huge number were remained present.
