CID Crime said that PSI Rathore had tried to break up the witnesses by conducting a parallel investigation at the behest of PI Gohil even though the case was being investigated by Sayajiganj police. While the accused used Constable Mahesh’s car to dispose of the body.

He was also with the investigation on the day of the incident and even though he had all the information about the crime, he hid it. So both have been declared accused and they were not found during the search and have been declared wanted.

The investigating agency could not find out the whereabouts of Sheikh Babu’s body in the case. The CID, along with the fire brigade, conducted two searches in the Narmada Canal from Chhani to Sevasi in the canal to locate the body but didn’t found anything.
