Chhatra Sansad launched it’s new project Women’s Safety Division

A Vadodara Youtuber hurling abuses and using obscene language against a female comedian shocked everyone. The action bring bad name to the city which is known for its cultural heritage.

Chhatra Sansad a popular youth platform takes the initiative in such a scenario and launch its newest project – Chhatra Sansad Women’s Safety Division. It will work as a bridge between victims and authorities to provide safe environment and make sure that justice for victims is secured in a timely manner.

“We have over 800 women from across Vadodara who have registered to be our Women’s Safety Ambassadors to help women seek help in their times of need and direct them to the concerned authorities and help coordinate for the same. Women’s Safety is an issue which has plagues our Society for generations and it is high time that we not only solve the symptoms and induce the fear of law amongst our citizens but teach our future generations about Equality and Harmony between the sexes,” said Kunal Sharma Founder President Chhatra Sansad.

The Women’s Safety Division will work as an intermediary between victims and authorities, provide safe havens and make sure that justice for victims is secured in a timely manner. It is our mission to also curb online harassment of women, which is ever increasing due to anonymity provided by the internet and to introduce women-centric cyber laws to combat harassment and violence of any and every kind against women, added Sharma.

Chhatra Sansad is the first ever unique movement that provides the youth a platform to become an element of change.

We at Chhatra Sansad have a vision to create ethical, spirited and competent public leadership in the country, which will shape our policies. We aim to make our democracy more vibrant and bridge the chasm between the way we are being governed today and the way we actually want to be governed.
