CHARUSAT’s PDPIAS ranked 24th among the Best Colleges of India in NIRF 2020

Charotar University of Science and Technology, Changa has been placed among the best universities in the annual national rankings released by the HRD Ministry. Moreover, PDPIAS, a constituent Institute of CHARUSAT secured 24th position among the best colleges of India. It has scored 61.01 overall.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development released its ranking of national institutes for 2020 on Thursday. CHARUSAT shined among the top private universities of Gujarat according to the ranking published by NIRF.

In addition to this CHARUSAT University’s P D Patel Institute of Applied Sciences (PDPIAS) figured among 25 best colleges of the country ranked at 24th position. Last year in NIRF 2019, it was on 26th rank and jumped two ranks ahead this year. In the national level ranking, CHARUSAT figured among 101 to 150 in the “Universities” category at the national level in the ranking by NIRF.

The NIRF provides credible official rankings of India’s higher educational institutions on a set of parameters such as teaching, learning and resources; research and professional practice, graduation outcomes and outreach and inclusivity.

Ranking promotes competition among the Universities and drive them to strive for excellence. Unlike last year, this time the ranking was released under six categories — Overall, Colleges, Universities, Medical, Management and Engineering.

PDPIAS which is ranked 24th in the NIRF 2020 ranking with score 61.01. It is leading among the league of institutes of excellence with its focus on research, conducive learning environment and sublime teaching standards. Established on 2007, the institute offers programmes in UG, PG and Ph.D.

Speaking with media, the Institute Principal, Dr. R V Upadhyay, said, Charusat being a research driven university, PDPIAS could thrive in Research and Development and could outshine prominent science colleges of Gujarat with historical legacy. Surendrabhai Patel, President and Dr. Pankaj Joshi, Provost, CHARUSAT expressed their joy over the achievement and shared that CHARUSAT University which has become synonymous of quality teaching, research and innovation is striving to be a world-class university and placed among top 20 universities of India.
