The COVID-19 crisis has adversely affected the world economy. The impact was mainly felt on the employment front where several people felt the loss, either in terms of a decrease in wages or in terms of total unemployment.

Thankfully it has not impacted the Career Development and Placement Activities at CHARUSAT. Kaivan shah, student of Computer Engineering Department, Chandubhai S Patel Institute of Technology has bagged an annual package of 30-lakh Rupees from Amazon.

From 1st August, 2020 there has been an increase in the placements and various companies have approached Charusat students to offer them lucrative packages. Reputed companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Crest Data Systems, Meditab Software (India) Pvt. Ltd. Gateway, Bacancy Technology, VOLANSYS Technologies, One-advanced, eInfochips, Jeavio, Cybercom, Softnautics have conducted online placements for CHARUSAT students and many more companies are lined up for placements such as Infosys, Evosys and White Hat Jr.

A total of 157 students of CHARUSAT Programme i.e. from Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and communication, and Computer Applications(MCA) are placed till now. Handsome offers till Rs.5.50 lakhs per annum were also availed by young recruits, who will be graduating from this prestigious university in June next year.

Student Kaivan Shah, who bagged the 30 Lakh/annum package offer of Amazon has thanked all the faculties, Department and Career Development and Placement Cell Team for their guidance and support. He has said that the experience at CHARUSAT will be a lifelong memory to cherish.
