With participation from more than 1300 students and faculties from Gujarat along with 16 students from Nepal.

From the moment life started to spring on earth, everything has its root in science. From the evolution to growth of civilization, science was there and will be there for eternity. To celebrate the significance of science in our growth and existence, P D Patel Institute of Applied science in association with GUJCOST presented fourth annual science event Science Manthan inaugurated on 5th January at CHARUSAT University. A global event in every sense, Science Manthan saw huge participation from the students and faculties across the state as well as neighbouring country Nepal.

Elaborating on the importance of science, Charusat Provost Dr. Pankaj Joshi hailed science as the foundation for the technologies of future and encouraged everyone to be a part of wonderful world of science to succeed. With Advisors Ashokbhai Patel and Dr. B G Patel, Registrar Dr. Devang Joshi, Internal Auditor Shri Bipinbhai Patel the event was attended by faculties and students in a large number. The SCIENCE MANTHAN gets recognition globally with participation from more than 1300 students and faculties from Gujarat along with 16 students from Nepal.

The whole concept and idea behind Science Manthan is to give students a platform to showcase their creativity in science with inquisitiveness. This year the theme of Science Manthan was ‘for Biological Chemical Physical Mathematical Science – Society, Science of Ecology & Prosperity where competitions like poster presentations, working models, scientific photography, Collage making, creative quiz, public speaking were organized to create maximum student involvement. At the end, winners were honoured with awards.

The event was presided over by CHARUSAT Provost Dr. Pankaj Joshi along with PDPIAS Patron Manubhai Patel as guest of honour and Kelvani Mandal CHRF secretary Dr. M C Patel, H T Patel, Convenor, Advisory Committee and CHARUSAT research advisor Dr. R M Patel. While PDPIAS Principal Prof. R V Upadhyay delivered inaugural speech, PDPIAS Assistant Professor Convener Dr. Bhragdish Iyer gave thanking speech in an event hosted by PDPIAS.
