CHARUSAT joined hands with Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED)
Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT), Changa signed MoU with Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Government of Gujarat.
CHARUSAT and CED will work together to promote entrepreneurship among the youth of Gujarat State by setting up ‘Business Accelerator and Incubation Center’ at the university. The center is aimed to provide participants with the opportunity to become entrepreneurally skilled and motivate them to become entrepreneurs.
Surendra Patel, President, CHARUSAT; Dr. B G Patel, Provost, CHARUSAT and Devang Joshi, Registrar, CHARUSAT stated that the alliance between CHARUSAT and CED would strengthen the Make in India and Start-up India movement of Government of India.
“CHARUSAT University possesses all the qualities to generate Entrepreneurial opportunities for the aspirant Entrepreneurs,” said by Dr. R N Prasad, Director, CED while visiting CHARUSAT campus with other officials of CED.
“We are very much pleased to collaborate with CED. CHARUSAT University is determined to produce job providers instead of job seekers and this memorandum would help students start their own businesses. We will organize various capacity building training programmes in collaboration with CED for the students and develop their interaction and primary linkage with the institutions and commercial world,” Said, Dr. Govind Dave, Principal and Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, CHARUSAT.
It is worth noting that Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management (I2IM) has already organized 5 Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) during year 2016-17. In this series, around 625 Final year students of Engineering, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Nursing Programme have been taught the lessons of Entrepreneurship from more than 36 Resource persons. Students have generated 582 Business ideas during the awareness camps. The potential business ideas will be allotted mentors and anget investors to incubate the business idea to make ready for its commercialization and government projects.
