Signed MoU with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

Under the initiative of Industry-Academia linkage, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Gujarat Chapter has signed an MoU with Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT). The linkage with the industry is a continuous activity at CHARUSAT as it accelerates the research, innovation and placement activities on the campus.

The MoU was signed by Premal Dave, Head, CII Gujarat State and Dr. Devang Joshi, Registrar, CHARUSAT. Dr. Govind Dave, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Principal, Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management exchanged the MoU in presence of Mr D J Yadav, Convener, CII Gujarat Industry Academia Panel, Immediate Past Chairman, CII, Gujarat State Council and Director and CEO, Arvind Envisol Ltd. Students will have more opportunities for Internships and Industrial Research as CII is connected with more than 300,000 enterprises.

The 1st meeting between CII and CHARUSAT was held at CII house, Ahmedabad on April 16, 2019 wherein Dr. Govind Dave, nominated Panel Member from CHARUSAT interacted with CII members and mentioned that through the linkage, infrastructure, resources and facilities available at CHARUSAT can be utilized by industry for R&D/ testing facility. Also it will help to understand the potential of industry (via CII) and CHARUSAT (academic institute) and means to leverage them for mutual growth and benefit. To implement upon the said objectives, the next meeting will be hosted by CHARUSAT in coming days.

“Two-way communication is necessary to create industry-academia linkage. This MoU opens up the channel of communication and assures further collaboration and cooperation of activities with CHARUSAT University”, said by Darshan Shah, representative of CII.

“Industry and Academia are the biggest pillars of India’s growth and development and a sturdy bond between them will bring more innovation in academic and research activities in our education system to prepare students for the industry”, said by Dr. Pankaj Joshi, Provost, CHARUSAT.

“It would help to lessen the gap between industry and academia by providing well guided internships to students, faculty development programmes, developing industry responsive curriculum through CII’s representation on CHARUSAT's Board of Studies”, said by Dr. Devang Joshi, Registrar, CHARUSAT.
