CHARUSAT 9th Convocation Ceremony on 11th January 2020

Charotar University of Science & Technology ranked among top three
private universities of Gujarat by National Institute of Ranking Framework
(NIRF) is all set to celebrate its 9th convocation Ceremony on 11th January
2020 at University ground.  The event will be graced by Governor of Kerala
Arif Mohammad Khan as chief guest and will deliver the convocation
address.  The event will be also attended by celebrated American author
George Musser as the special guest, who will also deliver a ceremonial speech.

Currently, fulfilling his duties as the governor of Kerala, ex-Cabinet
Minister Arif Mohammad Khan is loved and respected as a successful and
illustrious leader in Indian politics. As a leader he has contributed immensely
towards many social causes including education, anti-dowry law, upliftment of
disabled people and growth and upliftment of Muslim Community. Dr. George
Musser is world-renowned author for his work in the field of science. For his
great contribution towards science, he has been felicitated by the American
Institute of Physics & American Astronomical Society.  His books –
‘Spooky Action at a distance’ and

‘The Complete Idiots Guides to String Theory’ is quite famous in science
world.  Currently he is working in the role of editor for world famous
American Science Magazine ‘Scientific American’. 

CHARUSAT has established a legacy and tradition of inviting great
scientist, industrialist, and respected celebrities famous for their
contribution to the nation and society.  The illustrious journey in its
first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth ceremony
consecutively had legendary scientists like Dr. Abdul Kalam, Dr. R A Mashelkar,
renowned industrialist Pankaj Patel, famous scientist Dr. T. Ramasamy, Governor
of Gujarat O P Kohli, eminent industrialist A I Patel, celebrated scientist and
ISRO Chairman A S Kirankumar & Atomic Scientist Dr. T Ramaswamy as Chief
Guest respectively. 

In the event to be presided by CHARUSAT president Surendrabhai M Patel,
2048 students will receive the degree while 37 bright students from different
streams will be the proud recipients of gold medal where as per CHARUSAT
tradition, pure gold medal will be awarded.

The ceremony will have an auspicious start with Vedic chants and in the
extremely organized event 241 students of Faculty of Medical Science, 252
students of Faculty of Computer Application, 175 students of Faculty of
Management Studies, 119 students from Pharmacy, 279 students from Faculty of
Applied Sciences and 949 students from various streams of Faculty of Technology
and Engineering will be awarded by degrees.  It also included 33 Ph.d
students.  

Currently with 72 ongoing courses in 9 educational institute under 6
streams with 7500 students, CHARUSAT is an ‘A’ grade university as per the
Academic & Administrative Audit (AAA) conducted by the National Assessment
and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat floated by
state government’s Educational Department. A University established with
investment of more than 150 Crore is gradually leaping towards becoming one of
the top 20 university nationally while making an illustrious impression across
the globe.
