CBSE National Athletic Meet 2016 in Vadodara

From 26th to 30th December around 2700 sportsmen from various CBSE schools from India and Gulf countries will take part in the CBSE National Athletic Meet 2016 hosted by Gujarat Public School and Urmi School of BRG group at Manjalpur sports complex. The sports meet will be inaugurated by Rajendra Trivedi Minister for Sports, Gujarat State on 26th December 2016.
For the last 12 years BRG group has been hosting several Zonal and Cluster sports events, and is for the first time BRG group Baroda is hosting the prestigious CBSE National Athletic Meet 2016. In this meet around 660 CBSE schools from 29 states and 7 Union territories along with the Gulf countries like Oman, Muskat, Dubai and Quatar will be competing together. More than 2,700 sportsmen participating in 66 events under the categories of under -14, 17, 19 Boys and Girls. This national Sports meet will be held with the help of 400 coaches, 120 officials and 80 volunteers.
This event will be covered by latest technology photo finish, laser timing and digital cameras. The event will be graced by the auspicious presence of the famous Indian cricketer Yusuf-Pathan, the Secretary of the Cultural Department V.P Patel, CBSE chairman Shri Rajesh Kumar Chatturvedi and other important dignitaries.
