Call drops issue may get trouble to telecom operators

New Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha wants to improve the quality of service provided by telecom operators. Operators are hiding their call drops issue with the radio link technology.

Recently Manoj Sinha took charge from Ravi Shankar Prasad as the new telecom minister. He said on 23 July, “ Telecom operators will face action for using radio link technology (RIL).”

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has made many suggestions on poor network quality provided by telecom operators and many other issues. Telecom ministry is seeking on this points and will take some strict actions against them.

TRAI has conducted drive tests of mobile networks in 12 cities and asked for detailed information’s from service providers on their networks ‘RLT’ values.

Manoh Sinha further said that, “ Ministry will check out the information given by TRAI and actions will be taken.”
