Global-NCAP crash tested the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Honda Jazz, and fourth generation Honda City as part of its safer vehicles for India programme, and all received a four-star rating. The test is conducted using the most basic available models, which include two airbags, ABS, and front seatbelt warning as standard.
The CMF-A+ platform is used by the Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV, which received four stars for adult occupant safety and two stars for child occupant safety. A vehicle with two front airbags and anti-lock brakes was put through its paces in the most basic safety configuration.
The Renault Kiger, like the Nissan Magnite, is built on the CMF-A+ platform and has received four stars for adult occupant protection and two stars for child occupant protection.
The Honda Jazz received four stars for adult occupant protection and three stars for juvenile occupant protection. It came standard with dual airbags and anti-lock brakes, ensuring a robust frame. This premium hatchback does not have ISOFIX anchors.
The fourth-generation Honda City achieved four stars in both adult and child occupant protection tests. Dual airbags, ISOFIX anchoring, and ABS are also included in the base model. The ISOFIX anchors and the rearward-facing arrangement of one of the child dummies, on the other hand, compensated for the shaky structure and foot well.
Global NCAP will integrate ESC, side impact, and pedestrian tests in its testing process by July 2022.
