Bachchan is here to receive Sayaji Ratna award
The whole city of Vadodara is all set to welcome the Mahanayak of the film industry Amitabh Bachchan after three decades. He will be arriving here to receive the Sayaji Ratna award for his immense contribution to the film industry. However in between the thousands of invitees the organisers forgot to invite Arvind Pandya the person Jaya Bachchan made her brother.
During the freak accident happened on the sets of Coolie in 1982 Amitabh Bachchan was seriously injured and the whole nation pray for his life. Arvind Pandya from Vadodara also pray for his health and run backwards from here to his home in Mumbai and met him. During that time Jaya Bachchan made him her brother and ties rakhi on his wrist.
Amitabh Bachchan also mentioned him in his blogs and writings whenever he get a chance to speak about the city. After 32 years the Megastar of the century once again visits the city to receive the Sayaji Ratna award and the organisers Baroda Management Association (BMA) forwarded invite to around 3000 guests. However they forget to invite the ‘Son in Law’ of senior Bachchan which not go down well in the minds of many people.
Arvind Pandya said he is happy to know that Amitabh Bachchan is receiving the Sayaji Ratna award and he didn’t get any invite from the organisers. He said the committee might be forget his name but he don’t have any bitterness inside against them. He also runs a organisation and sometimes forget to give invites to persons. He is happy and the Bachchan family is always there inside his heart.
Amitabh Bachchan mentioned his name on numerous occasions and remember Arvind Pandya as the person run backwards for his health and that is one of the memorable incidents in his life.
