The BJP has regain power for the fourth consecutive time in the Vadodara Municipal Corporation elections. In Vadodara, the BJP has won 69 seats while Congress has won only 7 seats. Thus, the BJP has regained power in the Vadodara Municipal Corporation with a majority. The BJP panel has won in Ward No-2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19 and the Congress managed to get the panel won in Ward No-1.

In Vadodara, two young candidates from BJP will be representing their areas in the corporation. Bhumika Rana, the 22-year-old young woman candidate and 22-year-old male candidate Shrirang Ayre has won their first elections with good margin. Veteran Congress leader Chirag Zaveri tasted defeat in Vadodara’s Ward No-18 after winning for 34 consecutive years.

In Ward No-16, BJP and Congress won two seats each in which veteran Congress leader Chandrakant Srivastava and Alkaben Patel have won. From BJP Ghanshyam Solanki and Snehal Patel have won. In ward no-13, BJP has won 3 seats and Congress has won one seat. In ward no-14, Congress councilor Hemangini Kolekar has been defeated. In ward no-13, Congress’ Balu Surve has won for the third time in a row. In ward no-7, Congress sitting corporator Jagruti Rana and in ward no-4, Congress sitting corporator Anil Parmar have been defeated.

At the time of entering the counting center, the agents clashed with the agents and the police without wearing masks and not maintaining social distance, and they caused a huge uproar. However, higher officials control the situation quickly.

After the victory BJP candidates and workers offered sweets to each other and celebrated on the beats of dhol and DJ. However, during the celebrations, activists and candidates were seen without masks and a clear violation of social distance.
