Bike rider Killed after knocked down by Concrete mixer truck in Vadodara

A speed breaker removed by the corporation proved fatal for a youth in Vadodara on Tuesday. The youth was killed after knocked down by a concrete mixer on Mangal Pandey road way to Sama. The speed breaker was set up near Agora Mall but removed by the corporation inspite of the protest by the locals.

As per available details, the speed breaker was removed by the corporation yesterday and next morning the driver of a cement concrete mixer truck accidentally knocked a motorbike rider named Urshil Desai a resident Nandalaya Society of Sama Savli Road. The accident leads to aggressive protest from the locals as they reached the spot after the accident. Police rushed to the spot and initiate action in the matter.

Despite repeated representations from the residents of the houses under the Prime Minister’s Residence Scheme built behind Sama Agora Mall, the locals finally made a speed breaker on their own expense to save people passing on the road.

However as per sources the speed breaker was removed by the corporation yesterday inspite of the protest by the locals. The people also raised questions about the responsibility if any accident happened at the same spot. However the very next day a youth was killed after knocked down by a concrete mixer truck. Police is further investigating in the matter.
