Bhuj accused arrested in Vadodara in joint operation by Bhuj and Vadodara police

Vadodara Raopura police along with Bhuj city B Division police team arrested one accused from the city who was wanted in Foreigners Act and Immoral Trafficking Act and was on the run for the last nine months. Police is looking for his wife the other accused who according to the accused run to Bangladesh.

Based on the information the Kutch Bhuj city B Division police station PI Mahesh Kumar Boxa send his team to Vadodara and they along with the Vadodara city Raopura police team arrested Mohammad Akram Sheikh 26 resident of New Station Road Jayratna Building Bhuj from Vadodara. The police teams arrested him from Shahjananad Travels office near Pandya Bridge where he is working as a driver.

Arrested Mohammad Akram Sheikh was wanted in two matters of Foreigners Act and immoral Trafficking act B (2) registered against him and was on the run for the last nine months. He was on the run and now driving the Shahjananad travels bus from Baroda to Mandvi. He accepted his crime and said that fearing of not getting bail he was not present before the Bhuj Police.

On 20th March 2016 Bhuj B Division police raid at the house of the accused Mohammad Akram Sheikh after getting the information about him involving in Immoral Trafficking and flesh trade and called the customers to his house. Police arrested Ramesh Thakkar, Harish Vankar, Jayesh Vankar, Rajendra Chavda from the spot and during raid also found a minor girl hails from Jalna Bangladesh from his house. The accused was forcing the girl into the flesh trade. However both Akram Sheikh and his wife Manjura Sheikh escaped from the spot and police recovered mobile phone and driving licence of the accused from the spot.

The police registered the case under Foreigners act and Immoral Trafficking act and look out for the both the accused and caught Mohammad Akram Sheikh from Vadodara. During primary interrogation after the arrest Mohammad Akram Said that three year ago he was driving in Bhuj city when he came in contact with Manjura who is from Bangladesh and revealed that she is into flesh trade. Both fell in love and get married and then the husband wife duo run the business in their home as Akram’s family throw him out after he marry Manjura.

They both get girls from Bangladesh through the agents and pushed them into flesh trade. After the police raid both escaped from the spot along with their 10 months old son. According to Akram his wife went back to Bangladesh and he was doing odd jobs at various places before start driving in Vadodara.

On the day of his arrest he was not well and police arrest him from the travels office. Bhuj police took his custody and return back to their destination for further investigation. The second accused Manjura Sheikh is still at large.
