Bharuch businessman robbed of 2.15crore in Vadodara
After the government decision to withdraw 500 and 1000 rupee currency the incidents of exchanging black into white is on the rise. Not only that greed forced people to visit all the way to different cities to exchange their money and at the end robbed of their money.
Such a similar incident came to light in Vadodara where a businessman from Bharuch was robbed of 2.15 crore showing him revolver and knife and pretending to be crime branch team.
Milin Shah from Bharuch is running Virai Consulting offices in Bharuch and Vadodara cities. He also supply labours at both the offices. He had 2.15 crore rupees all of the currency of 500 and 100 rupee notes to pay the salary of 50 labourers. Sources said that three days ago the Crime branch arrested Vaikunth Pawar brother of BJP councilor Vijay Pawar with 31 lakhs cash which belongs to Milin Shah.
To pay the labourers their salary in white he asked his accountant Sanjay Rungta to exchange it on commission. Accountant talked his friend Rakesh Shah from Vadodara about the same and the. Rakesh talked to his friend Vishal alias Vikki Kahar who is the editor of a weekly. Rakesh told the businessman to exchange the black money on one percent commission and he was ready.
On 19th November Milin Shah along with his accountant came to Vadodara with 2.15crore cash as Vikki Kahar called them near Jagdish Farsan Mart at Waghodia Cross roads.
As soon as the businessman arrived in Vadodara Vikki introduced himself as land dealer and another Kiran Chauhan as Crime branch official to him.
After the introduction Kiran Chauhan told Milin Shah that he is doing illegal business of powder and chemicals and sit inside his car along with Vikki. They took Shah to Waghodia police station accompanied by six other persons along with a girl named Sonal in Wagon R, Swift and Scorpio. They all introduced themselves as police team and entered the police station and returned back.
Later Vikki Kahar and Kiran Chauhan took the businessman and his accountant to Waghodia Cross roads and showed revolver and knife to both and escaped with the 2.15crore put inside the bag.
Milin Shah later tried to get his money from Vikki Kahar and Kiran Chauhan with his sources in political circles but failed to get his back. He later gave an application against 8 persons including Vikki Kahar, Kiran Chauhan, a girl named Sonal in Bapod Police Station of 2.15 crore robbery against them. It is to be noted that on 17th June 2016 Vikki Kahar was arrested for extortion in Manjalpur police station.
