Better facility for maintenance of wagons in Karchiya yard of Vadodara division

Yard examination of freight rakes of Vadodara division has been shifted from Vadodara Yard to Karachia Yard and the same was inaugurated on 21.01.2021 (today) in the presence of Devendra kumar DRM, A K Singh, ADRM and Branch officers.

Due to this shifting, following benefits are achieved:

a. Freight maintenance activity of the division has been integrated.

b. Better utilisation of available manpower in freight maintenance activity.

c. Better operational ease as shunting for maintenance has to be done in one yard only.

d. No need for movement of BTPN wagons to Vadodara Yard, since ROH of wagons discontinued in Vadodara Yard and will be carried at Tank wagon
