300 children of 25 aanganwadis take part in the event
Baroda Citizens Council organised Sports Day event for around 300 children of 25 Aanganwadi centres adopted for Born Learning Project. The program was inaugurated by Sameer Khera (Chair Person, BCC), Harleen Chawla (Trustee, BCC), Priya Jagdale (Executive Director, BCC).
The children started the program with March Past and played different games like Go and Get Ready, Break the Balloon and Run with the Ball. Parvati Chaudhari (CDPO, lCDS Department) was also present to motivate the children for the program. Jayesh Bhalawal (Senior Coach, Sports Club) gave away prizes to the children and motivated them.
All the guests of the Program really encouraged and motivated the children. All the children were given first, second third prizes. All the winners were awarded with trophies, certificate and crown. All the guests graced the event with their presence and motivated the children for participating in such programs.
Baroda Citizens Council has been working in the city of Vadodara since 53 years. The organization has been active in the field of Child Rights, Women Empowerment, as well as Health related issues in Vadodara Rural and Urban areas. Under the Born Learning project (supported by United way Baroda) we have been providing all the children of Anganwadi with their nutritional needs and qualitative education through implementing the Born Leaming Program in the 25 Anganwadi centres of Vadodara.
The main aim of the project is to ensure School readiness through holistic development among the children in the age group of 3-5 years.
