Bath Adda a home for handcrafted natural products served with love and care

Corona pandemic taught us a valuable lesson of being natural and care about our body. However sometimes we are in delima and compromise in choosing the best product that can suit us.

Nisha Sharma is one such budding entrepreneur who believes in be natural and use own handmade products for her family. What starts as a hobby is now a career for her as she tries to inspire other women to be independent and go natural for the safety of their family.

In her own words, life is beautiful but it’s our duty to make it more enjoyable. In male dominated world life of a women is not easy and that too of a middle class girl. Born in conservative Marwari family Nisha married to a joint Marwari family and fulfill her duties as a housewife. Within couple of years she was mother of two daughters (Advika and Adrisha) and soon the focus is more on to raise them and doing household work. To start her own career is still a distant dream.

However she never stop chasing her dream and one incident paved her way to start the second innings of becoming a budding entrepreneur. “My younger daughter is very sensitive and I carefully choose products which suits her skin and ordered online or purchased them from local market. However the creativity in me had some other ideas and I started preparing beauty products on my own. This starts my dream products range Bath Adda which is yet to go a long way,” said Nisha.

Her journey of handcrafted products started in 2017 when she visited her brother in Hong Kong during summer vacation with children. “As a mother of 2 daughters, I always prefer to use chemical free products for my children as they have very sensitive skin. I subscribed myself for the Organic products course in Hong Kong with an intention to provide best products for my family. After reaching my home in Mumbai, every month I use to make few soaps for my kids and family in my kitchen and distributed the excess soaps to my relatives and friends. I always use to get positive response from them and thought to turn my hobby into small venture as positive response and demand kept on increasing,” said Nisha.

However all is not smooth for her as first hurdle was to convince her family that she should handle both her family and passion. She managed and started making few soaps in her kitchen as starting a venture is totally different ball game. Finance, storage space and a cautious thought about creating her own space is always in her mind as she has to compete with so many big brands who are already there in the market.

“With an intention to provide chemical free natural products to my clients, I hired a place took a loan and Bath Adda came into existence. Bath Adda is a skincare brand that creates products using all natural, 100% vegetarian, exotic and finest quality ingredients. Each products that we make are carefully handcrafted to create adornment filled with magic. The Products made here is natural, hand poured, scented with only essential oils and are free from harmful chemicals such as synthetic fragrance oils, sodium laurel sulfate, parabens, phthalates, petroleum by-products and artificial coloring/preservatives,” added Nisha.

Earlier to spread awareness about products she use to participate in exhibitions but due to Covid 19, she is now using social platform to advertise and sell the products. Nisha said, Bath Adda products are made in small batches with lots of love and attention to ensure the highest level of quality. This allows the ingredients to stay at a low temperature to guarantee they keep their therapeutic properties. With the initiative by Prime minister for Aatmnirbhar Bharat, and Vocal for Local, her aim is to provide best products and create jobs for local women.
