Children celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm

Annual Function of Baroda High School ONGC (K.G.Section) was celebrated on 31st January 2020 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The theme of the function was ‘Nayi Umange, Khel Purane’, where the tiny tots of B.H.S (ONGC) have explained us the need and importance of outdoor games through fun and dance.

In today’s era when children have forgotten to play outdoor games and just be in front of the T.V. screens and mobiles, the programme focused on the importance of old games which we play in our childhood. A grand stage with professional sound system was set up in the school hockey ground.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the invitees and then followed by a short prayer by the students of upper K.G.

The young and talented students of play group, lower K.G. and upper K.G. put up a scintillating performances on the stage. These tiny tots took the audience to the memory lanes of their childhood games like Satodiyu, Gilli Danda, Aam Chori. Thus the theme of the function was clearly justified by the performances of these young budding talents.

Smaranika Deo, an amateur artist with proficiency in terracotta, clay modelling and Tanjore painting was the esteemed Chief Guest.

Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Jagdish Shukla (President, BLCET) and Anjali Dave (Trustee BLCET). Shailaja Deshpande (Principal B.H.S. Danteshwar ) and Yakub Sheikh (I/c Principal B.H.S. ONGC Secondary Section) along with honourable principals of B.H.S. O.N.G.C. (Primary Section) Priya Makhijani and J.P.Joshi.
