Baroda girl Maitri Joshi youngest religious YouTuber
Post videos of Shlokas, Stotras and bhajans regularly to reach larger audience
At her age most of the kids play with their dolls
and glued to tv sets for cartoons, Maitri Joshi from Vadodara is reciting Shiv
Tandav Stotram and Hanuman Chalisa. At 5 she is probably the youngest YouTuber
in the country posting her religious videos and has a good fan following from
India as well as abroad.
Maitri recites sholkas, bhajans, stotras since she
was two years old and continue to perfect the art. At this age she grew her
interest in watching religious serials, channels based on the same content.
Witnessing Maitri's dedication her parents slowly took her to programmes and
later uploading her videos on YouTube, Instagram and Tik Tok.
"We are family of Brahmins and Maitri accepted
the same values in her since she was two years old. Seeing her dedication I
began to recite shlokas, stotras to her and to my surprise she mastered it in
quick time. We then took her to programmes where she recites the same to the
audience. To reach the larger audience we decided to upload her videos on
social media and now she is probably the youngest religious YouTuber in the
country," said Mitesh Joshi father of Maitri.
Maitri uploaded her videos of shlokas, bhajans,
stotras, importance of festivals and many other things related to dharma and
god. Till date she completed around 50 shows in Baroda and Ahmedabad and wish
to continue the journey. She gives her performance in Navratri, Ganpati
festival, religious functions, birthday parties and ramp shows and also
celebrate her last birthday sitting in Navchandi Yagya.
"We want her to be a religious and
motivational speaker in life and slowly planning the things. She is now
learning Hanuman Chalisa and has the knowledge of Vedas, Puranas, Varnas,
Tithis in Sanskrit and well verse in it. The aim is to spread the awareness in
today's generation about the importance of religious teachings in life and
respect the elders and parents which they lack and enjoy their lives in their
own materialistic world," said Mitesh.
Maitri is presently studying in Junior KG of Tree
House school in Vadodara.
