Aims to bring back the green glory of Vadodara

A yoga trainer, naturopath and tree lover Somya Akshat gives a new direction to her work after won the Mrs. Mrs. India Unity Queen of India. In her words the only aim to take part in beauty pageant is to create awareness among people about her initiatives.

Based in Vadodara she is into various projects related to environment, tree plantation, clay ganpati, women hygiene and now making manure from kitchen waste. She said the effort is to sensitise people towards saving the environment and make new ways for better living.

Working towards a better tommorow she starts by planting trees near the house and soon spread it to other areas of the city. At present she planted more than thirty thousand plants to bring back the green glory which somehow lost in the rising jungles of concrete.

She is also working towards the concept of clay Ganpati idols for a eco friendly celebration and also spread awareness about women hygiene. At present she is working on the concept of making manure from kitchen waste and soon going to launch it commercially.

With big ideas and limited reach she decided to represent herself on big stage and took part in the beauty pageant.

The competition was on virtual platform and then the organisers selected top six for the finale at Belgam Karnataka. After various rounds like cocktail, saree, evening gown and Q and A, Somya Akshat is declared as winner of the competition.

“In 2018 I participated for the first time in a event and it was a learning experience for me. I tried again and this time won the crown. I talked about the environment related issues and said to take it to global platforms. And I think that makes me a winner. The aim to take part in this competition is to extend my reach and create a awareness related show,” said Akshat.
