    Advocates reached the court to vote for their favourite candidates

    Like every year Baroda Bar association elections starts peacefully as the advocates reached the court in the morning to vote for their favourite candidates. Election commission raised eight election booths to ease the voting process through out the day.

    The election process starts inside the court building at Diwalipura since morning. Advocates reached the court and stand in line to vote for their favourite candidates. Police deployment is also kept there to ensure peaceful environment during the election process. Election department also make prior special arrangements for peaceful elections during the day.

    Talking about candidate details, 4 each are contesting for the post of President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Library Secretary. Three are for Vice President, two for treasurer, 21 for managing committee and 5 posts are reserved for ladies in the election. 2400 advocates will decide the fate of the candidates with their voting.

    This time sitting arrangement inside the new court premises is the main point as the advocates violently protest in the past for their sitting inside the new building. The issue is still not resolved and whoever comes to board will have to face this challenge.

    Counting will be completed there after the election and results are expected to be out late night.
