Arrested three and declared two as wanted
Based on specific information, Bapod police in Vadodara city raided APMC Fruit Market and seized 552 bottles of foreign liquor worth Rs 2,76,000 along with other items worth Rs 12.82 lakh in total from a container filled with biscuits. Police nabbed three accused and search is on for the two involved.
The Bapod police team while patrolling the area on the occasion of Janmashtami on Thursday night received a information about a white container was going from Ahmedabad to Surat with English liquor.
The liquor was hidden under biscuits and was to be unloaded at APMC Fruit Market in Vadodara. Based on that, a search was carried out and the container was found parked in a lane behind Jagdish Farsan at APMC Fruit Market.
The team found 552 bottles of IMFL hidden besides the biscuit boxes, mobiles and containers from there. They caught Rohitas Jat, Rajkumar Jat and Rajiv Jat all from Rajasthan and search is on for Kale from Haryana sending the liquor and Ramesh from Vadodara who took the delivery.
