A day after India said that it will boycott the Saarc Summit scheduled to be held in Pakistan, Bangladesh on Wednesday said it too will not attend the annual gathering of the South Asian nations’ leaders.

Following the September 18 cross-border terror attack on an Indian Army base at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir that left 18 soldiers dead, New Delhi announced on Tuesday that it was pulling out of the 19th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) Summit scheduled to be held in Islamabad in November.

According to sources, Dhaka has conveyed to current Saarc chair Nepal citing “growing interference in the internal affairs of Bangladesh by one country”.
