The initiative is by Chhatra Sansad in association with Vadodara Police to unite people during the beloved nationwide celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. The aim is to spread awareness towards an EcoFriendly celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi and to keep Traffic congestion in check at major landmarks and Ganesh Pandals while celebrating this auspicious festival.

This initiative is spear headed by students all across Vadodara District who made the Eco-Friendly, clay idols for distribution. A Chhatra Sansad volunteer team from MSU’s Fine Arts Department is conducting two day workshops for approximately 1000 kids from underprivileged backgrounds.

"We believe the environment is not any single person, but the community as a whole shares responsibility and therefore students from all walks of life, from Government to Private schools are participating with enthusiasm. Students from 250 different schools have registered to make atleast 1 Ganesh idol along with a slogan for Eco-Friendly Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration, which will be displayed on 25th August 2019," said Kunal Sharma founder of Chhatra Sansad.

A total of 500 Eco~Friendly idols and slogans will be exhibited and eventually gifted to Pandals all across the city to encourage people to shift from buying traditional POP idols to Clay idols.
