COVID 19 is spreading quickly in many countries including India and government is taking every precautions to control the deadly virus. India is also taking steps to control the Pandemic and issued instructions to maintain hygiene and take preventive steps to stop the virus reaching them.
However ancient Ayurveda speaks about strong immune system which can give people a natural shield to prevent themselves from any infection. DR. Dattatray Pandya from Nakshatra Ayurvedam a multi speciality Ayurveda and Panchkarma hospital in Vadodara speaks about prevention not panic in case of COVID 19.
He said there is no need to panic from COVID 19 and Ayurveda has the medicine to fight with any type of virus. Coronavirus is spreading from human to human and it’s a RNA type virus which spreads when one comes in contact with the infected person. It’s a influenza virus and the symptoms are like viral flu. But the main symptoms are excessive fever hovering at 103, 104 degrees accompanying with severe body ache.
Further speaking he said the virus is spreading in people with immunity Suppress like infants, pregnant woman and old people. It starts from upper respiratory track and enter inside to LRTI if not stopped. One can have to eat water and liquid to make the throat wet in order to prevent it to enter inside the lower part of the body.
He said the only medicine for the Coronavirus is prevention like frequent handwash, eat well, maintain distance with people having cough and cold and boost their immunity to fight with virus. Ayurvedic medicine can help patients boost their immunity and help them to fight any type of virus. Dr. Dattatray also focus on joint research by Ayurvedic and Allopathy doctors to find best medicine to fight Coronavirus.
Doctors, staff and employees in the SSG are working wearing masks to prevent themselves for any infections in view of COVID 19. They also spread awareness in people to wear masks while visiting the hospital and keep hand sanitizer in pocket as a preventive step. The isolation ward in the SSG checked more than 20 people as proactive step and no signs of COVID 19 was visible in them.
