Ram janam bhoomi and Babri masjid dispute from 1528 to 2017
Babri Majid was builded in 1528, but Hindu Organization claimed that this majid construction is broken by temple.
As per the reports in 1853 first time Communal Riot were happened here. In 1859 British administration made fencing and made separate places to worship for Hindu and Muslim. The situation is as it is of next 90 years. In 1949 dispute went to the court after placing statue of lord ram in masjid.
In 1984, Hindu organizations formed committee to build Ram temple. After three years, after the district court ordered to open the masjid’s door after about 5 decades, the Hindus were allowed to worship within the disputed structure. After this, the Muslim community formed the Babri Masjid Action Committee.
In the year 2010, the High Court ruled that the disputed land was divided equally between Nirmohi Akhara, Ram Lala and Sunni Waqf Board. But both the Hindu and Muslim parties refused to accept the court's decision and approached the Supreme Court.
On the 21st march 2017 again supreme court order that Ram janam bhoomi and Babari Masjid issue has to take route of negotiation for settlement. The Bench headed by Chief Justice of India JS Khehar said this while commenting on the petition filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy. Chief Justice also offered to be an arbiter.
