    As a result of joint efforts by Gujarat Civil Supplies Corporation and Directorate of Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation, 723 Ex-Servicemen were recruited under the contract of 11 months at the fixed wage rate of Rs. 20,839.

    They are to be deployed 24 hours a day in 3 shifts of 8 hours each at various 235 District / Taluka level Godowns / Warehouses of the Civil Supplies under the control of Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited.

    A draw was also organizing at the Head Office of the Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation situated at Gandhinagar (Puravatha Bhavan, Sector-10/A, ‘Ch’ Road, Near New Sachivalay, Gandhinagar) under the Chairmanship of Tushar M. Dholakia, M.D. of the Corporation as well as in the presence of representative from the Home Department of State Government.

    Efforts have been made to make sure that all the recruited Ex-Servicemen are allotted duties near their native places. Corporation has directly recruited the Ex-Servicemen and Wages will be paid directly by the Corporation to the Ex-Servicemen which is unique feature of this recruitment drive.

    All the 723 Ex-Servicemen who have served the nation will get employment at their native places. Selected Ex-Servicemen will report to the allotted Centers shortly.
