Vadodara police started strict checking drive in view of the upcoming diwali festival where people do bumper shopping of jewellery and other items. The aim is to keeping a watch on jewellery showrooms, Angadias and finance offices where big amount of cash transaction will be done as part of the festive season.
Diwali is just round the corner and people already starts their shopping before the celebrations with their families and friends. This is the time when people do bumper shopping of jewellery, clothes at the showrooms and shops. This is also the time when banks and angadias do big cash transactions which also increases the chances of crime.
In view of such sensitive situations the Vadodara police starts strict checking drive to stop such crimes during the festive season. The team checked Autorickshaws in a Special drive at various spots.
Total six teams of crime branch conduct checking at Akota bridge, Pandya bridge, Gotri Yash complex, Railway station, bus depot, Vishwamitri railway station, Susen circle, Narhari circle, Kapurai crossing. The team checked 91 auto rickshaws about their registration numbers, licence and about carrying some illegal items. The strict checking will continue in upcoming days.
