Australian women team on Tuesday visit Mahila police station in Vadodara and impressed with the work they are doing related to their security. Oxpam India a social organisation organised the visit and aware them about the various activities running here.

State Project coordinator of Women and Child development department Dr. Lata Brahmbhatt said Oxpam India and Australian NGO work jointly for the women related issues. In view of that Oxpam India organise the visit of the Australian Women team to the Mahila police station in Vadodara.

The team received a warm welcome and briefed about the Gujarat government schemes like Abhayam, Women observation home and how it works. They were briefed specially about the Abhayam, PBSC and Mahila police working towards domestic violence cases coming to them.

The Australian team arrived at the Mahila police station in the morning and stayed there for more than an hour and interact with the officials about the various schemes running by the Gujarat governcment regarding women security.
