Asha workers in Vadodara sit on fast till death in front of the collector office on Gandhi Jayanti. They all wore Gandhi cap and shouted slogans against the government pressing their demand for equal salary equal work and others.

Asha workers all across the state and members of Fix Pagaar Samiti is on strike against the government. For the last 15 days the Asha workers and the members of Fix Pagaar Sangharsh Samiti protest before the state government for their basic rights and salary. They demand equal salary equal work and also make them permanent.

They gathered at the Vadodara collector office and protest there for the past 15 days. On Monday the day of Gandhi Jayanti five of the women including leader Chandrika Solanki and Facilitator decide to sit on fast till death for their demands. They wear Gandhi caps and shouted slogans against the government for not listening to them.

"For the past 15 days we are on strike and the government don't care about to even listen to our demands. With such a negative approach from there side we five members decide to sit on fast unto death and starts on the day of Gandhi Jayanti. With each passing day five members add to the fast and it will continue till our demands were not resolved," said Chandrika Solanki.
