Outreach programme for veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents

In line with the Indian Army ethos ‘WE ARE ONE’, an Outreach Programme was organised at Anand by Station Headquarters, Vadodara with an aim to reach out to veterans, Veer Naris, widows and their families. It gave an opportunity to resolve their pension anomalies, health related issues and grievances for extending legitimate benefit under schemes offered by Army Headquarters and Central and State Government.

A holistic approach was adopted where in more than 700 Ex-servicemen, widows, Veer Naris and their dependents belonging to Anand, Kheda and Chhotaudepur district attended the programme and Veer Naris were facilitated with utility aids. The programme was attended by officials of Civil Administration, Rajya Sainik Board, different departments of State Government, Defence Pension Disbursing Office, Banks, Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme and representative of Pension Establishment.

The attendees got benefits from Multi Speciality Medical camp which provided expert advice, rendered by special team of Gynaecologist, ENT, Medical and Free medicines. Information about latest Government and Army related benefits applicable to them by different states, Central and Army Agencies was disseminated through lectures/leaflets by different agencies.

Addressing the programme, Brigadier Sanjog Negi, Station Commander, Vadodara reiterated that no incentive ever can compensate the sacrifice of soldiers and their kins who have served the motherland. He also reassured the beneficiaries that the Indian Army will always be honoured to look after the well-being of its Veterans and their families.
