Army Commander Southern Command reviews operational readiness of Konark Corps at Jaisalmer

Lieutenant General CP Mohanty, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command visited Jaisalmer Military Station and reviewed the operational readiness and preparedness of the Konark Corps.

The Army Commander complimented all ranks for their dedicated efforts and high standards of training to thwart any security challenges and maintaining the sovereignty of the Nation. He exhorted all ranks to focus on operational preparedness for future wars and achieve high level of professionalism.

During the visit, the General Officer was briefed by Lieutenant General Anil Puri, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding, Konark Corps, on the ongoing Military Excercise to develop Tri Services Synergy for Integrated Warfighting. The General Officer also highlighted the importance of use of modern day technology to enhance operational efficiency.

He also emphasised on the need of high state of physical fitness and mental robustness to fight COVID.
