Aparna Popat Indian Badminton player inaugurated the 3rd
Edition of Yi Master’s Badminton League 2020 in Vadodara. The league is to
raise funds and support various causes run by CII Young Indians.
Confederation of Indian Industry – Young Indians Vadodara
has been endlessly working on major social initiatives, one of such is the Road
Safety initiative, this special project is to educate people on the importance
of abiding traffic rules and imbibing in them a responsibility to take care of
the fellow Indians while driving to avoid accidents & deaths further
improvising the ease of living by increasing traffic sense in the citizens.
The 2-time Olympian, 4 medals at Commonwealth Games, with a
silver medal became the first Indian to win a medal at the World Junior
Championships was also the key speaker at this program.
CII – Young Indians (Yi) is a movement for Indian Youth to
converge, lead, co-create and influence India’s future. As an integral part of
the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non–government, not– for–profit,
industry led and industry managed organisation playing a proactive role in
India’s development process.
Nation Building” and “Thought Leadership”, Yi hopes to
emerge as the premier Indian youth organization having a voice on relevant
platforms that work on solving India’s problems. Under Youth Leadership, Yi
works effectively for promoting leadership skills for its members through
programs in entrepreneurship and innovation. Under Nation Building, Yi engages
its members under its projects as “MASOOM” , “Gift an Organ” and “Road Safety”
.
“Project Masoom” works with the objective to spread
awareness on Good Touch & Bad Touch in children between the age group of
6-12 years. Yi Vadodara also conducted sessions with primary school teachers
& parents to teach about the various forms of abuse: physical, verbal or
visual. During the 90 Days Project Masoom campaign Yi Vadodara clocked 4509
direct impact through 38 sessions delivered for the year 2019-20 .
Yi Vadodara’s vision on “Organ Donation” is to create an
awareness that would impact the citizens of the city to come forward and
register themselves as organ donor. Yi Vadodara conducted several awareness
campaigns as our CSR contributor at corporate houses, public places &
partnered with all major health expos, organ donation rallies in Vadodara. Yi
Vadodara registered “11 organ donors” covering a direct impact of 5132 citizen*
across Vadodara for the year 2019-20
Yi Vadodara organized various sessions on “Road Safety &
Chota Cop” at different schools & public places covering a direct impact of
*14254 citizens* of Vadodara for the year 2019-20. Road Safety is a special
project is to educate people on the importance of abiding traffic rules and
imbibing in them a responsibility to take care of the fellow Indians while
driving to avoid accidents & deaths further improvising the ease of living
by increasing traffic sense in the citizens.
