Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan actor Anupam Kher in Vadodara enthralled the crowd in his motivational lecture at the VCCI Global Trade Show. The celebrated actor shared his life experiences before the crowd to show how failures taught him bitter lessons and it played a important role in his life. He also appreciated the demonetisation step by the government a asked the people to wait for sometime to reap the good.

Kher was at his best before the crowd who wait for him patiently since morning. While the announcer introduced him with his achievements and invited him for his talk, Kher stood up and said to her that you simply say “Anupam Kher Ek Sacha Deshbhakt” and that is enough. Such was his aura that he entertained the crowd with his punches and also deliver the message to them in his unique way.

Kher shared his life experiences before and after he came to Mumbai and put focus on failures which always push everyone to move ahead. “I came from a very moderate family and my father was clerk in forest department and earn 90rs per month to look after the family of 14 people. I was not good in studies and also in running but what I earn today is just because of my hard work. I remember my first acting assignment when I was in 5th standard and I was playing the role of Prithviraj Chauhan. My father was very happy as I told him that I won in the last. However something went wrong and I didn’t get any prize but my father told me that failure makes you won but you should try,” said Kher.

Speaking about failures he said that the power of failure is such that he not changed himself and still is a small time Shimla boy. Adressing to the parents who pressurised their children for exams he said that teach them to get rid of the fear of failure. “When I was in 10th standard at Shimla there was a Posh restaurant named Alpha restaurant and we four family members make it a point to visit there every Six months and order Mutton Samosa, Pineapple pastry and expresso coffee and celebrate the day. Suddenly one day my father took me there and give me a party inside the restaurant. Out of eagerness I asked him the reason he said that I failed in my exam he is celebrating my failure. My father does to get rid of the fear of failure and I also requested the parents to take away the fear of failure from students,” said Kher.

Kher said failure comes again and again encounters your life trying is very important. He said if anyone asked then be said he want to live the same life again as it taught him hard lessons in life. He also said that the mantra of life is to live it not just exist which we are doing today. “I don’t want to be called a legend, thespian in my life as I can work for other 30 years now. When you feel like settled rediscover yourself and move out of your comfort zone and move ahead. Life changes and you need to keep on challenging it and punching it,” said Kher.

Kher said that for him journey is important then destination and path of truth be full of obstacles. “When you reached your destination after get over every obstacle you will find peace in life as when you look behind you can see your efforts to reach where your are today. Failures teach you everything and what is more motivating is to live life. My father last words are Live Life and that motivates me everyday to be happy and do things,” said Kher. He also added that the play ‘Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’ based on his failures is very close to his heart and give him more then his films. Kher who is into social service and working for children announced that his 2 and half acre land at Karjat will be turned into exclusive and wonderful orphanage.

Kher supports the demonetisation and asked people to wait for the good times. “Its a historical step to stop corruption in the country and there are various obstacles but to get somerhing good you have to went through such things. There are problems but if all thing was planned then there was no surprise element in it. The people who are objecting the decision are Sudo seculars and they need a topic to carry on. If people don’t agree with the decision then BJP don’t register won in recent elections,” said Kher.

Kher also said the day when Kashmiri pandit get back to Kashmir, get back their homes and jobs that day will be historical as they feel like they are also the part of the country. He also said to abolish article 370.

Finally at the end of his lecture he said and request Rahul Gandhi to sing Jan Gan Man as he wants to see it. He further clear his stand that he is not questioning his Indianism but want to check his memory.
